A beach side wedding at Harvest Moon, dunbar

Step into Z + K's one-of-a-kind wedding day at Harvest Moon in Dunbar, where the sea breeze and joyful vibes set the tone for a truly unique and intimate celebration. As an Edinburgh-based alternative wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing the genuine moments that made their wedding authentically theirs.

Pre-Wedding Vibes

Zoe and Kylie opted for a low-key start, getting ready in the same cottage with their respective bride-tribes. The shared space added a relaxed atmosphere as both brides prepared for their woodland ceremony, surrounded by the love and excitement of their closest friends.

Woodland Ceremony

Against a backdrop of towering trees and the natural beauty of the Harvest Moon woodland, Zoe and Kylie exchanged vows on a balmy September day. The setting was simple, yet magical. A personal and intimate ceremony free from clichés also embraced Kylie’s New Zealand heritage with a celebration of the elements.

Casual Feast and Fun

After the ceremony, the celebration continued at the marquee by the beach, where guests enjoyed laid-back vibes with drinks, nibbles, and lawn games. The couple's choice of a food truck brought a cool and unconventional touch, creating a casual and enjoyable experience for everyone… including me, because if there’s one thing I love, it’s a food truck!

Sunset at the Beach

As the sun dipped, we headed to the beach for a quick photo session, capturing my gorgeous couple in some quiet moments against a backdrop of the candyfloss-colored sky. The simplicity of the beach and the fading sunlight created the most calming atmosphere, allowing for authentic and unposed moments when Z+K practiced their first dance.

All in all, Zoe and Kylie's unconventional wedding at Harvest Moon was a breath of fresh air, embracing the unique charm of this gorgous beach side venue. The beach is my happy place, so more weddings here please!
